MISSION STATEMENT
Challis PS school aims to provide a safe, caring and inclusive school environment in which all students:
· Develop social and self management skills which will enable them to participate effectively within the school and wider community.
· Develop skills, knowledge and understandings in the curriculum areas which meet benchmark standards developed by the DET.

Challis Primary School, together with Challis Early Childhood Education Centre officially became the Challis Cluster under the new Independent Public School Program at the beginning of this school year. Whilst both schools are still very much government schools, under the control of the Deprtment of Education, this program gives them the opportunity to operate with more autonomy than other schools. For many years the Principals have worked, and in some cases stretched boundaries, to meet the specific needs of this school community. more...
